An Extraordinary Educator

Nguyễn Ngọc Ký is one of the most inspiring people in modern Vietnamese history. He was not only an excellent teacher, but he was also an inspiration to many Vietnamese people due to the passion and determination he showed throughout his life.

Nguyễn Ngọc Ký was born in Nam Định Province in 1947 and he was a great teacher in Vietnam. However, he had a very tough early childhood. 1. _____. THE POWER OF DETERMINRTION

As an aspiring athlete, I admire people who have overcome challenges to achieve sporting success. One amazing example is Tatyana McFadden.

Tatyana grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and later became one of the best Paralympic athletes in US history. However, she had to overcome significant challenges before she achieved great success.

Tatyana was born with spina bifida, a spinal condition that made her suffer from a severe walking disability. In addition, she spent her early childhood in a home for children without families and didn't have a wheelchair to help her get around. However, Tatyana was determined to play with other children at her age and soon learned to walk using her hands.

At the age of 6, Tatyana was adopted by a family and she began her new life in Baltimore. She developed a keen interest in sports and took up wheelchair racing at just eight years old. She quickly showed promise in sport, and by the age of 15, she had already competed in her first Summer Paralympics, taking home a silver and a bronze medal. Since then, she has achieved huge success, winning 7 Paralympic golds and becoming the first person ever to complete a Grand Slam of marathons by winning the Chicago, Boston. New York and London marathons in the same year in 2013. She was also named the 'Female Athlete of the Year' by the International Paralympic Committee in both 2013 and 2014.

In spite of the challenges she has faced, Tatyana has achieved incredible success in sports and has become a role model for aspiring athletes all over the world. Her story teaches us that any obstacles can be overcome if we have enough dedication and determination.

Katê Festival

Cultural diversity is a vital aspect of any society, and festivals of ethnic groups play an essential role in preserving the cultural identity of a community. Embracing cultural values through festivals is an important way of staying connected with one community as well as its history and traditions, and a well-known Katê Festival of the Chăm people in Vietnam is an example to prove so.

The Katê Festival, also known as Mbăng Katê, is the biggest yearly festival for the Chăm people in Vietnam. It is a special time of year when they honour important figures in their history and the dead in their families. The Kate Festival takes place on the first day of the seventh month in the Chăm calendar, usually in September or October. It lasts for three days and takes place around three important ancient structures in Ninh Thuận Province: the Po Klaung Yăgrai Tower, the Po Romé Tower and the Po Inû Nagar Temple. All of these places are very important to Champa culture and history.

On the morning of the first day, Cham families take part in processions as they travel to the towers and temple, bringing gifts of fruit, meat and rice. In a special ceremony, the Cham people receive the costumes of the Goddess Po Nagar from the Raglai people, a cultural group with close connections to Champa culture. The Chăm carry the costumes to the temple to celebrate Po Nagar, then they open the gates. Inside the temple, they start bathing the statues of important figures and watching sacred dances. After those performances, people enjoy lively parties until the evening of the festival's second day.

On the last day, people make special offerings to their gods at community houses in their villages and pray for luck and good health for the coming year. Once this is over, there are traditional music performances, and then people do fun activities like playing football and participating in weaving competitions.

The Katê Festival is a popular celebration of the Chăm people's traditional culture and beliefs. It is not only an important event in the Chăm calendar but also a symbol of the Chăm community's unity and rich cultural heritage.

Being a responsible digital citizen

These days, digital technology is a major part of everyday life for all of us, and we use it for almost everything, from work to school and entertainment Therefore, with everyone spending so much time connected to the Internet and using digital devices, it's important that we all understand how to be responsible digital citizens in the modern world. But what exactly does that mean?

A responsible digital citizen is someone who uses technology in a sensible way and encourages others to do the same. They are careful about their online behaviour and always try to be as polite as possible, which helps others to avoid having negative experiences online. Responsible digital citizens respect other people's privacy, too. They don't post pictures of others or discuss people's personal lives without their permission because that could harm their online security. In this way, digital citizens help others to feel safer and more comfortable in the digital world.

Responsible digital citizens are also aware of the potential risks of being online. They understand that there are fake websites and online scams which try to access people's personal information to hack into their social media accounts or even bank accounts.

When a digital citizen encounters one of these online scams, they should report it to the cyber police to stop this behaviour from happening. By doing this, digital citizens play an important role in making the Internet a safer place for all users. While many of us know how to use digital technology safely these days, we should remember that there are many other people who are still at risk. New Year Celebrations AROUND the WORLD

The beginning of a New Year is an important time for people everywhere and New Year celebrations differ from place to place. Here are some interesting New Year celebrations from different parts of the globe!

Japan

The New Year celebration in Japan, called Shogatsu, takes place on 1^st January. Families clean their homes in a practice called Osoji in order that they get rid of bad luck from the previous year. They also decorate their homes with traditional, handmade ornaments to create a festive atmosphere. On New Year’s Eve, or Omisoka, they eat ‘toshikoshi soba’, a buckwheat noodle soup, and watch a live musical programme called “Kohaku Uta Gassen” on TV. Then, they gather at their local temple, where they ring the temple bell 108 times. They believe this helps to remove their negative desires and refresh their souls before they welcome the new year. On New Year’s Day, many Japanese people visit shrines called “Hatsumode” pray for good health, fortune and prosperity. It is a special time for families to think about the past 12 months and plan for new beginnings.

Denmark

In Denmark, New Year’s Eve is on the last day of December. After people listen to the Queen's New Year speech on New Year's Eve, they throw old glasses and plates against the doors of friends and family so they can get rid of bad spirits. They also have another special tradition where people stand on chairs and jump off them together at midnight. This means that they are leaping into the new year hoping for good luck. On New Year's Eve, Danish people typically eat a very tall traditional cake called “Kransekage” eating boiled codfish with mustard sauce on 1^st January.

Brazil

In Brazil, 31^st December is an important time of celebration. At this time of year, it is traditional for people to wear white clothing and attend lively beach parties while they enjoy spectacular firework displays. People get together with families and friends and eat traditional foods like lentils and pomegranate seeds. The number seven is considered lucky in Brazilian culture, so people eat seven pomegranate seeds before midnight for good luck. Then, at the beach, they jump over seven waves, making a hopeful new year wish for each wave.

AI Transforming Vietnam

Moreover, AI is being used to combat crime in Ho Chi Minh City. AI-powered smart cameras have been installed to monitor public areas and detect criminal activities. This system can recognise faces and match them with a database of criminals, making it easier for police to locate suspects. The cameras have already helped identify and arrest numerous criminals.

The city has also approved the use of AI-powered cameras to help manage traffic. With this technology, it's possible to track, analyse and control traffic on roads to improve the flow of vehicles. Additionally, the Department of Transport has proposed an AI application for the automatic identification of bus passengers, which can help make public transportation services more efficient to use.

Vietnam is making significant efforts to develop AI technology, and Ho Chi Mirth City is a good example of this. From handling citizen complaints to combatting crime and improving public transport, AI is proving to be a valuable tool. STUDENT FOR LIFE

Helen Keller and Albert Einstein are two of history's most extraordinary individuals. Both overcame obstacles to achieve greatness and made significant contributions to society. What's more, both were lifelong learners.

At the age of 19 months, Helen Keller lost her vision and hearing due to an illness, which made her learning extremely difficult. Luckily, at seven years old, she was introduced to Anne Sullivan, who became her lifelong teacher. With Sullivan's assistance, Keller learned to read and write using Braille. In 1904, she graduated from Radcliffe College with a BA in philosophy, with which she became the first blind and deaf person ever to obtain a college degree.

Unlike Helen Keller, Albert Einstein seriously struggled with his academic performance in his early life. After years of difficulty at school, however, he finally found his passion in science and mathematics. At 26 years old, he received a doctorate in physics from the University of Zurich. Then, Einstein started doing some of the most groundbreaking work in the history of the field, including his theory of relativity, which changed the field of physics forever and earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921.

Despite their incredible achievements, both Helen Keller and Albert Einstein remained lifelong learners. Keller continued reading and writing all her life and she published 12 fantastic books, including her inspirational autobiography, The Story of My Life. As for Einstein, after receiving his Nobel Prize, he continued researching new ideas and stayed active in the scientific community until he passed away in 1955.
